Why should I make a claim?
You should always make a claim when you have a valid case for compensation:
•Compensation is not free money but is a sum agreed to properly compensate you for the losses you have incurred in the past and may incur in times to come.
•It will enable you to secure proper treatment for your injury and obtain a faster and more complete recovery.
•It will often provide a "heads up" that shoddy practices were being undertaken and provide the incentive for changing those practices so others don't similarly suffer in future.
Most compensation payments are paid by insurers who have made provision for such claims in their premiums. The negligence of others allows you to make a valid claim for what the law views as compensation properly due to you from their insurers.
